Cyclones defeated Cincinnati in the Big 12 tournament

The fifth cyclones led all the way and won the 13th seed in Bearcats on Wednesday in the Big 12 tournament in wire-to-wire fashion.
The state of Iowa once cited two -digit numbers before Cincinnati drove away quietly and quickly at the deficit at the beginning of the second half.
An 11-2 Bearcat run, which was completed by a Dillon Mitchell Dunk, made it 43-40, 2:32 p.m. It was the first time that it was a one-in-house competition since the opening minutes of the first half.

The cyclones quickly reacted with a 6-0 run to re-expand their leadership before pressing the edge into double-digit numbers.

Joshua Jefferson led the cyclones with 19 points, eight boards, five assists and three steals.
Milan Mompilovic added 13 points and had six sales. Dishon Jackson had a 10-point double double with 15 rebound.
Keshon Gilbert returned after missing the final victory of the regular season in the state of Kansas. Gilbert was limited to 11 minutes in front of the bank in the first half. He had three points in the 1-2 shooting.
In one of the most efficient shooting ideas this season Iowa State shot 29 of 54 (53.7%) and 10 out of 21 (47.6%) from beyond the arch.
The cyclones also dominated the bear on the glass and exceeded 41-23. They also had 11 offensive depth, which turned into 15 points of the second chance.
After both teams had not reduced a single shot in the first two minutes of the game, Iowa State started and opened a 12-2 run to start the goal. Gilbert bored a 3 pointer to complete the run with 14:51.
Cincinnati tried to get traction aggressively, partly due to the defense of the state of Iowa, but it was also not open shots. The Bearcats only shot 29.6%in the first half of the game.
Sales prevented the cyclone from bringing a massive lead at an early stage, with 10 of their 17 sales in the first half.
Cincinnatis Jizzle James made a few 3-point counters shortly before the break and took half of the lead of the cyclone to 33-24.
James had 17 points to run the bearcats, but he was not so efficient compared to her trip to Hilton Coliseum on February 15. James Schoss 6 out of 20th Josh Reed ended with 10 points. The day of Thomas had nine points, four templates and four steals.
The Cyclones expect the BIG 12 tournament quarter-finals on Thursday, where they will play the fourth BYU Cougars.
After a double bye, the Cougars will be well rested as one of the top four seeds. Iowa State and BYU only met this season when the Cougars spoiled the Cyclones senior night with an 88-85 double victory in the Hilton Coliseum. The game of Iowa State-byu will give a hint on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
