Naoya Inoue against Ramon Cardenas in Las Vegas fight on May 4th

The Japanese Star Naoya Inoue will fight for the first time in three years with an undisputed junior spring weight championship defense against Ramon Cardenas in Las Vegas on May 4th.

Inoue, ESPNS No. 2 pound-for-pound boxer, last took part in the United States in June 2021 when he stopped the Fringe candidate in round. Since then, the 31-year-old Inoue has entered the ring in Japan eight times.

“The Monster” continued to conquer all four titles at £ 118 and 122, where he was currently classified in 1st place from ESPN. Cardenas is the junior spring weight of No. 10.

“I am grateful to the fans in America who have followed my career,” said Inoue (29: 0, 26 Kos) in an explanation. “Fighting in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is another career highlight, and I look forward to making a great show for everyone present. Cardenas (26-1, 14 Kos), a 29-year-old from San Antonio 29-year-old, is installed in his first world championship as a heavy outsider.

The rare Sunday title fight ends a stacked boxing weekend, which begins on Friday, May 2, on the New York Times Square with Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez in separate fights and on Saturday evening in Riad, Saudi Arabia, with Canelo Alvarez-William-Scull.
