San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival Wraps 32nd edition

The annual Noise Pop Festival ends its 32nd year and fills night clubs and music events in San Francisco with sold -out shows by Soccer Mommy, Nick Lowe and Los Stray Jackets and American Football.
An institution in San Francisco, since it began in 1993 as one night of Loud, Melodful Local Bands, has expanded the festival this year to ten days of music, film and art with some of the most respected names of independent music. While the focus is on the latest indie rock, the eclectic festival also offers modern R&B, global grooves and even electronic avant-garde music. Noise Pop will also return to unusual events with several events in the Grace Cathedral and Mission District Art Space Gray area.

Later Friday, pub rock/power pop great Nick Lowe continues his collaboration with Masked Surf Combo Los Straight jackets with A sold -out performance in the Great American Music Hall. Lowe, an experienced British songwriter who started his start as a member of the Roots-Sorge band Brinsley Schwarz, later joined the guitarist Dave Edmunds in the influential pub rock band Rockpile.
